First, whoever has this gem
Second, the guy in the rivet isle. Random old man seeing me look through rivets for the Miata top, strikes up a conversation. Ends up saying, “hell, I got what you need in my car. Let’s go”.
People can still be good. Let's try to do the same.

Judging by the badge on the fender (Electronic Fuel Injection) and the lack of power mirrors, it’s an ‘83-’85. The badge was only applied to the CFI years, and the badge went away when the cars got SEFI in ‘86. Pre-’83 cars had a “waffle” grille with a smaller grid-like pattern (like a sheet of grid paper) and were carbureted. You can narrow it down further by the horn button- ‘84 and older had a hard plastic center on the wheel with woodgrain. The horn button was activated by pressing the end of the turn signal stalk. ‘85 and up had a squishy button in the middle of the wheel.
I know way to o much nerdy crap about these cars for having not owned one in a decade. There’s a lot I’ve forgotten, too.
